I got to sit in with Ugly Radio Rebellion and Ike Willis at the Winchester.  The whole band was really great!  I had a great time!  It was so cool to play for room full of Zappa fans with a guy who had actually been on stage next to Zappa for many years!

I sat in with The Ohio Choro Club at Mangiamo.  They play a Brazilian type of music that I am learning from my guitar teacher Eric Murray.

Their ad:

"Ohio Choro Club (OCC) began in 2007 after Eric Murray and Jason Little returned to Ohio from a music-study trip to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Their friends Sara Tamburro and Jon Mosey heard the music, instantly fell in love with it, and joined Murray and Little in learning a bunch of choro classics as well as some choice bossa nova favorites.

The OCC plays music that is perfect for listening. dancing, or background music. Their instrumentation consists of clarinet, mandolin, 7 string guitar, and pandeiro (Brazilian tamborine). Upon first hearing the OCC live, Lucas Kadish, 12 year old local guitarist and recent choro admirer said, "It kind of sounds like funky classical music." Come listen, you'll have a great time. For Choro!"

Sept 2006
I just finished a 4 week Blues workshop with Bob Kidney of The Numbers Band.    I attended the workshop with two guys that were older than my dad.  I learned a lot there.  Bob taught me a little harmonica too.

I got a call yesterday from the Rock Hall inviting me to sit in on a live interview with Perry Farrell of Jane's Addiction & Porno for Pyros.  He was also a founder of Lalapalooza.  The interview was very interesting.  Perry Farrell is a very colorful guy!

Queen

I got a call from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame today.  They called to tell me that Queen had offered to give me tickets to their show at the Q. So, my dad and I picked up tickets at the box office of The Q from Queen!  We sat in the 13th row on the floor right next to the catwalk that they performed on.  It was really cool.  It was my first major concert!
